How People Learn and what might technology have to do with it

Technology integration in schools is not easy to achieve, no matter how much evidence we have that it can help learning.
We know that technology sometimes is expensive, apart from that, sometimes is tiring and confusing for some people who is starting to using them.

1. LEARNING OCCURS IN CONTEXT
Technology can help students and teachers to solved complex problems.
Students can watch videos and these can make them to understand a subject easily . For example, if the teacher is talking about the human body students can watch a video where it shows the parts of a human body.

2. LEARNING IS ACTIVE

Some tools like a computer, DVD and a radio can make easier the process of learning, for example teachers can use a power point presentation for explaining her lesson.

3. LEARNING IS SOCIAL

We as teachers know that working is groups can help students to solve complex activities and problems but, how can modern technologies support and enhance these connections? Students can feedback each other using the technology though a social red like forums and emails.

4. LEARNING IS REFLECTIVE

It is important that students can analyze their own effort and learning, as well, get a feedback from the teacher and let the students once again analyze their work. Students can feedback in and out from classes by emails.

To conclude, technology helps everybody but we need to know how to use itin order to make the learning process dinamic and easy.

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone. My name is Evelyn Gonzales Orellana. I am a student of English Teaching and Translation at ULACIT University. My expectations for this course are very high because, as we all know, over time the techniques used for teaching have changed and technology has become an important tool that teachers can use to make their job more simple. Teaching children is very different from teaching adults but technology always makes the learning process more dynamic and fun. This is why I want to learn as much as posible from this course.
